In 2018, I donated to an elementary school I visited in Maasai Mara, Kenya. With fellow writers, we raised $5000 for this school.

In 2017, I donated 90% of royalties to New York's Citymeals on Wheels, a 501(c)3 charity that provides a continuous lifeline of nutritious meals and human companionship for homebound elderly New Yorkers. This deed was done in honor of my late, paternal grandmother, Mary L. Thompson, known as Mrs. T, who volunteered her services for this organization in Washington D.C. for many years. (

The International Coach Federation (ICF) built a code of ethics and set the standard in the coaching field. Membership is worldwide and the organization provides a platform for fellow coaches to support each other and continually learn best practices in the profession.


The Library of Professional Coaching is an excellent coaching industry resource.  Their website contains a growing collection of articles, research briefs, and white papers which are carefully selected to provide valuable information and resources for the field and discipline of professional coaching.
